Gita Saar 1

यं हि न व्यथयन्त्येते पुरुषं पुरुषर्षभ ।
समदुःख: सुखं धीरं सोऽमृतत्वाय कल्पते ॥
"Yam hi na vyathayanntyete purusham purusharshabh
Samdukhsukham dheeram Somritatvaay Kalpate"

The Meaning of this verse is : For, O Great one! The patient man who considers sorrow and happiness to be one and the same, and who is not ruffled by these fluctuating illusory state, is the one worthy of final liberation.

अर्थ : क्योंकि हे पुरुषश्रेष्ठ ! दुःख-सुखको समान समझने वाले जिस धीर पुरुषको ये इन्द्रिय और विषयोंके संयोग व्याकुल नहीं करते, वह मोक्षके योग्य होता है॥ - श्रीमद भगवद्गीता २-१५ भावार्थ : अतः मोक्ष प्राप्ति हेतु इच्छुक साधकको प्रत्येक स्थितिमें समत्व भावमें रहना सीखना चाहिए | जब कोई जीवात्मा न सुखसे सुखी होता है और न दुखसे दुखी तब वह खरे अर्थमें स्थितप्रज्ञ कहलता है और मोक्षका अधिकारी भी होता है | समत्वका भाव अर्थात अलिप्तता यह ८०% आध्यात्मिक स्तरपर साध्य होता है ! मोक्ष प्राप्तिके खरे अधिकारी सद्गुरु पदपर (८०% आध्यात्मिक स्तरपर) आसीन संत होते हैं !

The Implied Meaning of the verse is The Seekers who desire to attain salvation must achieve equipoise in every situation. That is Whenever the embodied soul is neither happy in happiness, nor sad in sorrowfull state, does he become fit for the final liberation in the real sense. This state of Sthithapradnyata i.e one who doesn't get perturbed by external factors) is achieved at 80% spiritual level and these souls are at Sadguru level. Hence, only the saints who are at Sadguru level qualify for the final liberation or moksha .
